Key takeaways
- MYOB Acumatica picks a price in order: the customer’s own price, then its price class, then the base price, then the item’s default. The store must do the same.
- Acumatica publishes API maximums of 50, 100, 150 and 300 requests a minute for its Essentials, Select, Prime and Enterprise editions, with 5 to 40 at once.
- Requests start being delayed once a minute’s calls reach half the limit, so the smallest edition slows at 25 a minute.
- Pricing live as buyers browse breaks every edition. Ten buyers viewing two pages of 24 products a minute is 480 requests a minute.
- Sync prices into the store on change and overnight. A full pull of 100,000 price records takes about 20 minutes on Essentials.
Getting trade customers ordering online from MYOB Acumatica usually means paying for a custom integration. An agency builds it, you own it, and someone has to fix it when it stops. Acumatica’s API is well documented, so connecting is rarely the hard part. The trouble starts later: a customer sees the wrong price, stock is hours out of date, an order arrives twice or not at all, and nobody finds out until the customer rings.
This guide covers what a reliable Acumatica integration has to get right, how Acumatica picks a trade price, the API limits your licence sets, and what each way of connecting costs. Every figure is linked to its source as of October 2026. We make TierCommerce, which has a native MYOB Acumatica integration built and maintained by our own team, so we’re not neutral.
MYOB Acumatica in brief
MYOB Acumatica is MYOB’s Australian and New Zealand version of Acumatica Cloud ERP. It was called MYOB Advanced until July 2024, when MYOB renamed it to align with Acumatica, its partner since 2014.[1] If you’re reading older guides or partner pages that mention MYOB Advanced, they mean the same product.
How MYOB Acumatica picks a trade price
Before anything syncs, the store has to price the way Acumatica does. MYOB documents the order it searches for a sales price:[2]
- A price for the customer. A sales price set for that customer and item.
- A price for the customer’s price class. If there’s no customer price, a price for the class the customer belongs to, such as “Trade” or “Distributor”.
- The base price. If neither exists, the item’s base sales price.
- The item’s default price. Used when there’s no base price either.
Within each step, three more rules apply: a promotional price beats a regular one, a price in the line’s unit of measure beats one in the base unit, and a price for the line’s warehouse beats a generic one.[2] Quantity breaks sit inside each price record.
That has two consequences for a store. First, the store must sync customer prices, class prices and base prices, with their units, warehouses, dates and breaks, and apply the same order. Second, a store that only knows the price class will be wrong for every customer with their own price. Test it by pricing a hundred recent invoice lines and comparing.
MYOB Acumatica API limits by edition
Acumatica limits API use by licence. Its April 2025 licensing guide publishes these maximums by edition:[3]
| Edition | Requests a minute | Requests at once | API connections |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | 50 | 5 | 5 |
| Select | 100 | 10 | 5 |
| Prime | 150 | 20 | 10 |
| Enterprise | 300 | 40 | 10 |
Older licences differ: Acumatica’s October 2023 guide lists 50, 150 and 250 requests a minute with 1, 3 and 10 requests at once.[4] MYOB doesn’t publish its own table, so treat these as Acumatica’s figures, and check your instance’s real values on its License Monitoring Console (SM604000).
How the limit is enforced matters as much as the number. MYOB’s documentation says that once a minute’s requests reach half the limit, later requests are delayed; requests are declined when more than 20 are waiting or one has waited 10 minutes; and trial licences allow two API users.[5] So an integration starts slowing down at 25 requests a minute on the smallest edition, not 50.
How long will your price sync take?
Pick your edition and enter your catalogue. The calculator works out how long a full read of every price takes at the edition’s limit, and whether pricing live as buyers browse would fit. It opens on 5,000 SKUs priced across 20 customer price classes.

MYOB Acumatica price sync calculator
How long it takes to read every trade price at your edition’s API limit, and whether asking Acumatica for prices live would fit.
On those inputs, a full pull of 100,000 price records takes about 20 minutes on Essentials and 3.3 on Enterprise, using the whole limit while it runs. Pricing live, ten buyers browsing two pages of 24 products a minute would make 480 requests a minute, more than any edition allows.
The lesson: sync prices on a schedule and when they change, keep full pulls overnight, and leave headroom for your staff and other integrations, which share the same limits. To compare Acumatica with other ERPs’ limits, see the ERP API sync budget calculator.

Read from InSyncer B2B Sync (Shopify), MYOB Acumatica commerce connector, MyIntegrator (BigCommerce) in October 2026; TierCommerce from our own integration documentation. “Not mentioned” means the listing and documentation don’t say it, not that it can’t. Ask each vendor to confirm. We make TierCommerce.
With a connector app, remember the platform underneath it. Customer-specific catalogues on Shopify need Shopify Plus, at A$3,700–4,000 a month; our Shopify Plus B2B cost guide adds up the full stack.

What a reliable Acumatica integration does
- Connects properly. It’s registered as a connected application on your instance, approved by someone on your team, so you control what it can reach.
- Uses push notifications. Acumatica can tell the store when items and customers change, which saves polling for them.
- Syncs changes often and everything nightly. Changes on a short schedule, plus a full sync overnight as a safety net, sized to your edition’s limit.
- Prices the Acumatica way. Customer, then class, then base, then default, with units, warehouses and promotions.
- Sends orders as sales orders, with the buyer’s PO number, warehouse and delivery address, and payments as payments against the invoices they paid.
- Can’t duplicate. A retry after a timeout must never create a second order or payment.
- Logs everything. Your team should see what synced, what failed and why.
An integration that fails quietly is the expensive kind. Wrong prices get invoiced and credited, orders get keyed in again by hand, and customers go back to phoning because they no longer trust the store. Ask to see the sync log before you buy, whoever builds it.
You don’t need to build one. TierCommerce’s MYOB Acumatica integration is already built and maintained by our team, and works this way: changes sync every 15 minutes and everything is read again each night, orders go in as sales orders and online payments as released payments against their invoices, and buyers follow each order through to shipment. It’s included in the Professional plan, from A$1,500 a month. See TierCommerce for MYOB Acumatica.
Questions to ask before you choose
- Does it sync customer prices, price-class prices and base prices, with units of measure, warehouses and quantity breaks?
- How many API requests a minute will it make at our busiest time, and what’s left for our staff and other integrations?
- Does it use push notifications, or poll for everything?
- How does it stop an order or payment being created twice?
- Which edition and how many API users do we need?
- Who supports it when an order doesn’t reach Acumatica?
